Project Details:
The project involves the construction of a futuristic service station for Expo 2020 inspired by the Ghaf tree. The service station will be built on an exoskeleton of the Ghaf tree structure which is the UAE's national tree and is renowned for its resilience to harsh weather conditions and is the symbol for the Year of Tolerance.
The service station will support a cutting-edge, solar-powered carbon fiber canopy which is three times lighter than steel and capable of generating 30 percent more energy than typically required to run a service station.
Wind turbines and wastewater recycling will help create alternative energy, while data analytics, artificial intelligence, and sensors will help cut queueing time and create a refueling experience that will be quicker, cleaner, and a model for smart and sustainable cities of the future.
The Ghaf tree service station will serve the entire Expo 2020 fleet during the six months of the next World Expo.
