Sutton Services has operated in the Middle East since the early 1980’s under a variety of Joint Ventures and trading names such as Sutton International and Bin Omeir Sutton. At present, Sutton Services International is operating as Sutton Commissioning & Management Consultancy in UAE.

In 1971, the discovery of the Mubarak oilfield near the island of Abu Musa changed the fortunes of the emirate. In 1981, after Mubarak's reserves started dwindling, Sharjah's onshore gas and liquid gas field was discovered, and gave a further boost to its revenues.

The Majlis, also known as the Desert Miracle, was the first grass course to be built in the Middle East. The perfect par-72 course is complemented by seven lakes and takes its name from the Arabic word for 'meeting place. One of its most prominent features is the Majlis building itself, positioned between the eighth and ninth holes, a Dubai landmark since 1988.

Carried out the Commissioning Management, setting to work, of all M&E Systems and Intricate Fountain Installation. Construction was stopped just prior to handover, as the first Iraq conflict started.
